Michael Martinez

VLK Architects has announced Michael Martinez recently joined the firm as Principal in VLK’s San Antonio office. With nearly 40 years of architectural experience and 23 years in K-12 architecture, Martinez brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to VLK’s team of professionals. Throughout his career, Martinez has completed more than $1.6 billion in projects spanning nearly six million square feet.

As Principal, Martinez will be responsible for leading complex projects and overseeing all aspects of design, construction documentation, and project delivery. He will also work closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.

Prior to joining VLK Architects, Martinez worked as a Principal and Senior Project Manager leading a variety of projects in the education sector. In his previous role as Office Lead, he was responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and assembling successful project teams. Martinez is passionate about mentoring young and aspiring architects to create responsive design solutions and exceptional learning environments that support students and educators.
