Herschel L. Acosta

KAI is thrilled to announce the appointment of Herschel L. Acosta, CCM as Senior Vice President at its Dallas-Fort Worth, TX office. With a distinguished career in the construction industry, Acosta brings a wealth of experience and leadership that will enhance the capabilities and growth of the 360 Construction Services (360 CS) division.

In his new role, Acosta will leverage his 25 years of program, project and construction management expertise to oversee and drive the growth of 360 CS in the Texas market and beyond. KAI has previously collaborated with Acosta and has been continually impressed by his exceptional leadership and strategic vision, which have ensured the successful and timely delivery of complex projects within budget.

Before joining KAI, Acosta spent nearly 24 years with Jacobs Engineering in Texas, where he served as Vice President and Sales Executive. In various operational roles, he led projects, programs and teams across different regions of the U.S.

His experience in managing transformative state projects includes overseeing an $825 million bond program for Tarrant County College, a $500 million bond initiative for new academic buildings and renovations at Garland ISD, and a $1.8 billion school rebuilding effort following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) accredited by the Construction Management Association of America. Additionally, he holds the Associate Constructor certification from the American Institute of Constructors and has completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg Executive Education program.

Originally from Mexico City, Acosta is fluent in Spanish and immigrated to the U.S. with his family during grade school. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife Julia and their three children: Sophia, Levi, and Nora.
