HeatTrack manufactures a line of heated walkway and stair mats used to melt snow to reduce slips and falls in the workplace. The mats are made of natural rubber, melt 2 inches of snow per hour and use 40 watts of energy per square foot. The mats can be left outside for the entire winter season and provide an alternative to calcium chloride, which is also used to melt outside snow.

ZAP’s new electric scooter, the ZAPPY3, is equipped with a 36-volt motor, folding handlebars and goes up to 12.5 mph. The scooter features three-wheel stability and allows users to stand facing forward. The new model charges using a standard outlet in four to six hours and can run for up to 24 miles when fully charged, according to the company. While driving at slow speeds, the handlebars rotate almost 180 degrees to allow for easy maneuvering.

Antimicrobial Scoop

Component Hardware Group uses Saniguard’s antimicrobial technology for its 64-ounce ice scoop. The scoop can be used with ice or on dry goods. It is lined with antimicrobial technology that inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew. There is also a molded hand guard to prevent accidental hand contact and to help eliminate cross-contamination. The antimicrobial treatment involves a silver ion-based layer and will last through the expected life of the product.

A line of environmentally friendly generators created by Cummins Power Generation Inc. is now available. The generators passed the Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 4 emissions regulations rated at 10 kW, 15 kW, 20 kW and 25 kW. The generators come with a weather-protective or sound muffling, steel or aluminum enclosure. The product also features the PowerCommand 1.1 electronic control. The control is completely integrated with the system and includes features such as automatic remote start and stop.

Bird Spikes

Nixalite’s bird control strips are rows of spikes designed to keep birds and their droppings from facility signage, rooftops and ledges. Made from 316 stainless steel wire and strip, the physical barrier prevents birds from landing, nesting or roosting on all types of surfaces.

Its top-draw vacuum design can pick up sand, leaves, liter-sized beverage containers and other litter. The faucets provide energy and water savings, safety and ease of operation by using a timing mechanism and a 0.5 gallon-per-minutconstruction.e, vandal-resistant aerator. Inside the faucet, a cartridge separates water, dirt and line trash from the timing mechanism. Timing in all models can be adjusted for convenience and water-flow control.

Bobcat introduced a line of nine compact tractors, five are available now and four other models will be available before 2009. The tractors feature four-wheel drive, hydrostatic transmission and can be used with other Bobcat components such as an angle blade, finish mower, seeder and more. The design provides comfort and safety features including a spark arrestor muffler, steel panels and a rollover protective structure. Each model has different engine strengths, ranging from 20 horsepower to 34 horsepower.
