Sara Hill
McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently hired Sara Hill as director of business development for the firm’s Southern California Division. In her new position, Hill is responsible for maintaining and growing McCarthy’s business in the education sector of grades K through 12, higher education, commercial, government, and parking structure markets.
Matthew Cotton
Perkins Eastman recently announced that Matthew J. Cotton, AIA has joined the firm’s Boston, MA office as a principal. Cotton comes to Perkins with more than 25 years of design and management experience in healthcare, with an emphasis on academic medical center master planning. Prior to Perkins, he worked at HOK, where he led the St. Louis Regional Healthcare project and established the healthcare practice’s development in India.
Wayne Perlenfein
Perkins+Will announced that Wayne Perlenfein, AIA, joined the firm as principal and will focus on the federal government in the Washington, D.C. office. With more than 30 years of experience, Perlenfein has been involved in developing agency-wide national design prototypes and standards as well as private and public sector design and construction project initiatives, with a recent focus on mission-critical classified projects. Prior to Perkins+Will, Perlenfien managed federal market strategies for classified and unclassified programs and projects at HDR and URS.
Denise Marien
Everett-based construction firm BOND welcomes industry veteran Denise Marien to the company as Director of Client Development. In her new position, Marien will be responsible for implementing a strategic business development plan for the firm. Marien will work closely with the senior management team, including newly hired BOND Vice President Frank Hayes to ensure the firm reaches its long-term goals.
Kelly Schuller
Viracon, an architectural glass fabricator, promolted Kelly Schuller to president of the company. Schuller previously served as the company’s senior vice president in sales and marketing. Before joining Viracon, he served as Apogee vice president, strategy and business development for four years.
Peter de la Mora
WHR Architects recently named Peter de la Mora as its new Director of Client Development. De la Mora will continue to work closely with the practice leaders across the firm’s offices in Houston, Dallas and Washington, D.C. With more than 10 years at the firm, de la Mora has worked for the Healthcare Studios and the Education Science and Technology Studio.
Jessica Hannan
Jessica Hannan, electrical engineer at AMC Engineers, recently passed the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering exam. Hannan specializes in interior and exterior lighting, integration of daylight and occupancy sensors, multimedia presentation and sustainable design. As a LEED-accredited professional, Hannan served as the mechanical and electrical LEED Coordinator for Susitna Valley Jr./Sr. High School and Fred and Sara Machetanz Elementary School.
STV Group Appoints Executive Chairman and President/CEO
STV Group, Inc., an engineering, architecture and construction management company, announced the appointment of Dominick Servedio, P.E., as executive chairman of the firm.

After serving more than 30 years in education as the Director of Technology at Scott County Schools, Mike Lay, a recent winner of the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award, recently joined PCS Inc. where he serves as the Education Sales Consultant.
