Acoustical Shell

The new Forte Full-Stage Acoustical Shell from Wenger Corp. improves onstage communication between performers and sound projection to audiences. Designed for small- to medium-sized performance venues, the side and rear towers combine with ceiling panels to reflect and diffuse sound.


All panels feature 1 percent honeycomb core construction and are available in several colors and laminate finishes. The shell’s towers can be arranged to suit different ensembles and venues, and nest together when not in use. Built-in, non-marring casters feature locks for stability.

Modular Stage System

SIS-USA Inc. has announced that it will have the North American rights to market a modular stage from the UK headquartered company, Anthony Hill Designs Limited, d.b.a. Stage Systems.


The stage system is a freestanding modular stage environment and will be available either as individual components or in a kit. The modules connect together with no tools to create different raised environments for presentation or theatrical uses. All the kits come on dollies for ease of locating for installation and storage when not in use.

Automated Stage Systems

J.R. Clancy Inc. has introduced the PowerAssist system, allowing schools and theaters to automate their existing manual flying systems. Automated flying allows simple, pushbutton control of overhead scenery, lighting equipment and curtains backstage.


Automated flying systems eliminate the need to handle weights and haul on ropes, improving backstage safety. PowerAssist winches are part of the company’s “Design for Safety” initiative.
