Poway School District Completes Modernization Projects
SAN DIEGO — The Poway Unified School District spent more than $150 million on modernization projects at two of its high schools.
Poway High School, built in 1962, received $89.1 million for an 80,000-square-foot, two-story classroom addition. Mt. Carmel High School was built in 1975 and received $63.6 million for ADA compliance updates, a new music facility, expansions to the library and other updates.
NTD Architects, of San Diego, was the design firm in charge of the modernization. PinnacleOne/Barnhar Inc. managed construction.
