Inovonics just launched its EchoStream EN6080 Area Control Gateway (ACG), a device that provides IP-based interoperability of access control, and video and area control systems. Enabling management of multiple wireless devices, the product allows users to oversee a commercial security environment without add-on relays or customized serial interfaces, according to the company. The EN6080 ACG features a browser-based web server, where sensors are registered through and coordinated sharing of data/records occurs. Designed to connect with existing and/or new security systems, the unit delivers centralized view of security activities and improved incident responses and allows for a smarter deployment and the reduction of false alarms, according to the company.
