NEW YORK — The Princeton Review, an organization providing tutoring and admissions resources for college or college-bound students, released their fourth annual guidebook April 16, highlighting green colleges and their efforts to create a sustainable future.
In collaboration with the Center for Green Schools and the U.S Green Building Council, the free and comprehensive “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2013 Edition” profiles colleges in the United States and Canada that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability.
WAKEFIELD, Mass. — Galvin Middle School in Wakefield recently underwent a major groundbreaking for its new $60 million school. The new school will replace the existing school, which was originally built in 1955.
A recent addition to SHW Group, Pam Loeffelman, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has been chosen to lead the company as its K-12 practice director for the eastern region. Mainly focused on architectural design for the education sector, her work includes several K-12 and higher education projects nationally and internationally. Having served over 20 years at Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer, Loeffelman was also a principal and board member at Perkins Eastman.
Inovonics just launched its EchoStream EN6080 Area Control Gateway (ACG), a device that provides IP-based interoperability of access control, and video and area control systems. Enabling management of multiple wireless devices, the product allows users to oversee a commercial security environment without add-on relays or customized serial interfaces, according to the company. The EN6080 ACG features a browser-based web server, where sensors are registered through and coordinated sharing of data/records occurs.
