LILIN North America, the U.S. entity of IP video provider Merit LILIN, has introduced its first 4K Ultra HD camera, the model UHG1182. The unit’s 12.0-megapixel CMOS camera delivers 3840-by-2160-pixel pictures at 30 frames per second or four times the resolution of HDTV 1080p, with razor-sharp detail and brilliant saturated colors. Because it is capable of capturing detailed images across expansive areas, it is perfectly suited for a variety of security needs. The UHG1182 features HDR (high dynamic range) mode, IR-cut filter for day/night imaging, and 4K True H.264 AVC High Profile Video Compression. When using a standard HDTV monitor, users can zoom in and greatly enhance targeted areas of the overall scene because of the exceptionally high resolution. In addition, the camera’s 16:9 aspect ratio provides a widescreen field of view for increased coverage of the monitored space.
