The system’s component-rated connectors, patch panels and cords support demanding applications in data centers and school facilities. The system is backward compatible with CAT 6, 5e, and 5 systems.

Samsung Electronics, in partnership with United Kingdom-based Aasset Security, introduces the SMT171P and the SMT190P, 17- and 19-inch LCD monitors with flat display screens for use with security dome cameras and similar pan-tilt zoom systems.

The products deliver images equal to 500 TVL, with a brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 700:1. The monitors can achieve a resolution of 1280×1024 and offer an aspect ratio of 16/9 or 4/3. Two video inputs and outputs are included.

The monitors come with a tempered glass screen to protect the LCD display panel.

GrandTec offers the Virtually Indestructible Keyboard, a silicone-based flexible keyboard designed for varied applications. It can be carried almost anywhere flattened out, rolled up, bent in half or stuffed in a bag. According to the company, the keyboard is virtually unbreakable and can be cleaned with soap and water.

The keyboard’s qualities make it suitable for use on countertops and other surfaces where food and beverages are present, in secondary school laboratories and classrooms, in vehicles, in locations where space is at a premium, and at outdoor events.
