Synergistics Inc., a provider of access control systems that use advanced cardholder technology, announces Citadel, a PC-based, multi-building, entry-level access control system. The system supports more than 4,000 cardholders and provides more than 190 input monitoring points and 32 card readers per site. The system supports multiple dial-up or networking sites with instantaneous reporting of alarms to its host computer, where all of the access control requirements are defined.

The VingCard Persona access control system is intended for use within campus communities. In most cases, existing student and faculty ID cards can be used as keycards with these electronic locks, the company reports.

The VingCard Persona system uses an ID as a keycard that requires a PIN code. If a card is lost or stolen it cannot be used without the PIN code. Cards can be replaced without changing locks or issuing new keys.

Videx introduces CyberLock, a family of access control products. CyberLock is an intelligent lock cylinder designed to convert existing mechanical locks into full-functioning access control systems, without hardwiring.

The new rake mills, fills, mixes, grades, cleans, pulverizes, and spreads materials. The soil prep tines allow quick surface preparation to a depth of 11 inches. A deeper soil preparation to 5 inches is available with replaceable tilling tines. A removable catch basket collects rocks, twigs, and other debris. When the basket is removed, the rake is effective for fluffing mulch beds or dethatching grassy areas in preparation for overseeding.

The heavy-duty, UV-resistant, polyethylene covers protect athletes and others from chain-link fence injuries. The covers add a decorative look to fencing during graduation or other ceremonies taking place on the playing field.

FenceGuard comes in cartons of 10 eight-foot sections with 50 eight-inch UV-resistant ties for securing the cover at two-foot intervals.
