University of New Mexico Regents Approve Bond Proposal
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-The regents of the University of New Mexico have approved a $125 million bond package that will be used to pay for capital improvements to the university. It will be paid for by increasing student fees $56 per year for the next four years.
Some of the projects that will be funded by the bond include a new engineering facility, $25 million; the second phase of the health sciences education center, $24 million to $27 million; a science and math learning center, $16.5 million; a cancer research and treatment center, $10 million; and renovations to Castetter Hall, the biology building, $8 million.
