Paulsen Nelson
Wight & Company, an architecture, construction and engineering services firm based in Darien, Ill., promoted Brad Paulsen from director of K-12 services to vice president and K-12 education practice leader of the firm. He has been with the company for seven years and will continue to manage the business direction and long-range plans of the firm’s K-12 practice.
General contractor McCarthy Building Companies Inc. hired Bruce Nelson as vice president of business development for its Southern California division located in Newport Beach, Calif. During his 27-year career in construction, he has served in such positions as construction and development project manager, project executive, operations manager, vice president and office manager.

Joe Stamp, a senior project manager for Suffolk Construction, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was the recipient of the Core Value Award. The award is given annually to one of the more than 250 Suffolk Construction employees in Florida . Stamp has been with the company for five years and has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.

Kian Manoochehri Farr and David March, two of NTDStichler’s San Diego designers, passed the Architectural Record Examination and are now registered architects at the design firm.
SSOE, an architecture and engineering firm located in Troy, Mich., appointed Ayers Morison, Jr., AIA, LEED AP, to design leader. He has more than 30 years of design experience, with K-12, higher education, healthcare, government and transportation facilities. He will put an emphasis on sustainable design practices and mentor new architectural staff.
Don Rogers was promoted to vice president at Skanska Building Inc., a provider of construction, preconstruction consulting, general contracting and design-build services based in Southfield , Mich. During his 12 years with the company, he has worked on K-12, higher education and healthcare construction.

Josue R. Cruz joined MGE Architects in Coral Gables, Fla., as an architectural designer. Prior to joining the firm, he was a project manager for several Miami-based companies.
Atlanta-based Boyken International Inc. hired Roberto Riquelme to the development project management firm’s Florida/Caribbean office as project manager. His responsibilities include managing costs, construction documentation review and leading bidding processes. He will also provide value engineering, quality control management and inspection, change order reviews and peer reviews.
Elie-Antoine Atallah, AIA, NCAB, joined Philadelphia-based STV Incorporated, a planning and design firm, as director of architectural studios in Pennsylvania , Maryland and Virginia He has more than 25 years of architectural experience and has served a variety of clients in education, healthcare and government facilities. Prior to joining the firm, he was a principal and founder of Studio Metropolitan Design in Philadelphia.
Portland, Ore.-based Yost Grube Hall, a firm that provides planning, architecture and interiors consulting services, expanded its design team. New staff members include Nicole DeJong, Blythe Woodward, Sarah Weber and Zach Moran.

Jonti-Craft Inc., a manufacturer of furniture for the early learning market headquartered in Wabasso, Minn., appointed Neil Dolan director of human resources. He will be responsible for evaluating, managing and executing programs for new and existing employees. He comes to the company from Grandview Financial Services where he worked as the West Coast regional manager.

Polyglass USA, a manufacturer of self-adhesive roofing products headquartered in Fernley, Nev., appointed Amir Khan to vice president of research and development. He will be responsible for overseeing research and development, quality control and technical services. With more than 12 years experience in the roofing and building materials industry, he has a background in quality assurance and quality control.
Parksite Inc., a national building material distributor in Batavia, Ill., appointed Chris Johnson director of purchasing. His 22 years of experience in building product distribution includes demand forecasting, purchasing, warehouse management and credit/collections.
Ideal Industries Inc., a manufacturer of tools and supplies for the construction, maintenance and data communications industries, appointed John Spencer to national accounts manager at its Sycamore, Ill., office. He has more than nine years of experience in the electrical industry with a background in strategic distribution, market development and national marketing. Previously, he worked at Hubbell Lighting Inc. as a manager of strategic accounts and regional manager.
David Kroll was appointed custom installation business development manager for the Marlboro, N.J., office of KEF, a manufacturer of speakers. He will oversee the company’s training and education initiatives, obtain feedback on existing and new product lines, strengthen dealer relationships and develop new marketing strategies. He has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, having held positions in sales, marketing and product development.
DeBettignies
Wausau Window and Wall Systems, of Wausau, Wis., promoted Dave DeBettignies from sales and marketing representative to regional marketing and sales manager. In his new role, he will work with local representatives to support the commercial construction and renovation glazing needs of contractors, architects, consultants and building owners. He joined the company in 2000 after working as a service manager and marketing representative at Wausau Insurance.
Power Fasteners Inc., a manufacturer of concrete anchoring systems headquartered in Brewster, N.Y., made several staff changes to expand its sales capabilities. Michael Gaffigan was promoted to the new position of director of Latin American sales. He joined the company in 1994 as an applications engineer. T.J. Bland and Mark Mamula were appointed to branch sales managers for Florida . Bland spent nearly three years with Applied Research Laboratories before joining the company in 2003. Mamula was a sales representative with Hilti, Florida International Marketing and Brinker Brown Fastener & Supply Inc. before joining the company in 2001.
McBride
Marlite, a manufacturer and distributor of commercial wall systems, appointed Kimberly McBride chief financial officer at the company’s Dover, Ohio, office. She will be responsible for the complete financial organization of the company, including external and internal reporting, banking relationships and credit and data processing.
Memphis-based VP Buildings, a manufacturer of metal building systems, named Dennis Ford the company’s new district manager for the Arkansas territory. He will be responsible for working with the company’s network of builders in Arkansas, North Louisiana and Eastern Oklahoma, and assisting them with building designs and supplying steel products.

L&M Construction Chemicals Inc., a manufacturer of concrete-related products headquartered in Omaha, Neb., hired Ruth Bright as a representative to extend and expedite communications with new and existing customers. She has more than 20 years of experience working in sales and communications, and spent the past five years working in sales with 4specs.com.
Gamewell-FCI of Northford, Conn., a Honeywell Life Safety division, hired Mark Wicks as southeast sales manager. His responsibilities include supporting the company’s engineered systems distributors in the sale, installation and maintenance of fire systems throughout Alabama, Georgia and Florida . Prior to his new position with the fire systems manufacturer, Wicks provided marketing and business development services for Ingersoll Rand and Ditek Corporation.

Tindall Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of precast, prestressed concrete products and building systems located in Spartanburg, S.C., promoted Roger Knox to vice president of facilities and materials engineering. He has been with the company since 1983 and his experience includes structural design and materials engineering, sales and product and process development. In addition, Bud Henry was promoted to vice president of purchasing. With more than 30 years in the purchasing field, he has experience in developing procurement programs and negotiating purchase contracts.
